El Portal in Lincolnton

I always usually just get cheese dip and chips but one time I order a chicken quesadilla and it didn't even look good I didn't even want to eat it. A chicken quesadilla I would expect it to look like something from taco bell but it didn't it just looked like a bunch of cut up chicken with black stuff on it thrown on the tortilla shell. It didn't honestly even taste good. It tasted gross. The shell itself was the only thing that was good besides the cheese dip and chips. And the server's are so rude and disrespectful half the time. Like they get mad when you ask for something else. It's just ridiculous. And they wonder why they don't get tips because you should be friendly not rude and have an attitude about everything.

Very disappointed in our trip to El Portal this year. This place has clearly gone downhill...our service was a joke and our food was even worse. Our food was watery and flavorless. We even went to the bar afterwards for a beer and couldn't get anyone to pour our drink. Take care of your customers!

We have been here many times and honestly this will be the last time we go back. The owner is rude and unfriendly. I do not appreciate a local establishment treating the patrons who keep the business thriving with an attitude...my business will be better served somewhere else. We will drive out of our way to McCormick for better food and better service.

Apparently the locals in Lincolnton, GA have a secret language for food service. "Please seat yourself" is roughly translated as confused looks and glares - "We would love to serve you but we have to serve locals and people we know first" is a very similar open-mouthed gawk. The food smelled alright but I never tasted it as left after nobody so much as greeted us 15 minutes in (10 minutes of awkwardly standing at the front). Seriously, though, this restaurant can fornicate itself with a pineapple.

This restaurant is closed! Guess the bad food and service did them in.

Awesome food, crazy cheap, really fast. The cheese dip is the best too.

Let's just say that it's been 4 days now and my stomach is still cramping and churning and I can't keep anything in. There were 5 of us and neither of us enjoyed our meal. Perhaps it was what I ordered, because I'm the only one who got sick. But we can assure you that we will NEVER be going back here. THIS IS THE WORS MEAL WE'VE EVER HAD.....
